Valley View Elementary School, established in 1989, operates under the Alvord Unified School District. The school, located in Riverside, Calif., provides education to more than 400 students in grades kindergarten to six. It offers a variety of subjects, such as English, mathematics, social science, history, geography and science. The elementary school s parent-teacher association hosts a range of events, including fund-raisers, math-a-ton and book fairs. Alvord Unified School District serves more than 20,000 students in elementary, middle and high schools. Its elementary schools include Collett, Foothill, La Granada, McAuliffe, Myra Linn, Orrenmaa, Promenade, Rosemary Kennedy, Terrace, and Twinhill. The district s middle schools include Arizona, Loma Vista, Villegas, and Wells, and the high schools are Alvord, La Sierra, and Norte Vista.
