Reviews
tripadvisorWe were informed in last minutes that the hotel is under renovation that we had to spend additional money to find another hotel close to old town. I noticed the price of hotel is higher after we cancelled, they may cheat is by giving wrong information to increase hotel price during peak season
MoreI agree with other recent poor reviews. This place is seriously lacking senior management oversight. It started with only one bath towel in a room for two, then I noticed the trash liners were hanging from waste baskets instead of lining the receptacle. I told the front desk at breakfast and they said their inspector told them to leave the trash liners that way. So you expect guests to get their own towels and line their own trash cans? Liners yes but we can send up another towel - they forgot that also.Upon closer inspection we noticed several other problems. Handicap button to open front door is inoperative, extensive mold on shower ceiling and over toilet, gross drywall and construction debris in the hallway outside our room with a trail to the elevators and continuing into the lobby, inferior repairs to bathroom vanity. And this is just from our room to the lobby. They also put us in a room next to where construction was happening without letting us know. We’ve recently stayed at IHG in Boulder CO and while traveling in Scotland and we never experienced such a threat to the IHG brand. It appears this establishment follows the “privately owned” model and so we will have to be more careful when it comes to finding a hotel that meets our minimum expectations. No mold and ADA compliance are clearly minimums.
MoreA beautiful hotel with great staff and great rooms. Everything was super clean. Rooms were big and nice.
MoreNicely greeted the evening we arrived and did make every attempt to get us water and gave us keurig containers to brew coffee. The Bed was comfortable, and we slept, but that was it. Here comes the bad news:No water available for coffee. Machine brokenTV not functioning - was told the management was in the middle of renovationNot enough Parking - again due to renovation. Large Storage trailers took the room leaving us no choice but to park in restaurant parking lot. Very inconvenientIn the morning person at front desk gave a former occupant a key to our room and she opened our door, woke us up, scared us half to death asking about her daughter's shoes. We have no idea why one of one of the employees would allow an occupant to open a room she was no longer in, and not look to see if there was another occupant. Horrible. We went downstairs to eat, came back up and our keys no longer worked. We did complain to your morning person about our intruder and she gave us new keys so we could get back into our room.No orange juice for breakfast as the machine was broken. No one bothered to pour OJ into another pitcher. Food was cold and had no taste. Disappointing because the omelettes showed promise. WE got the last two and 10 minutes later the person managing breakfast brought out some more, but the cheese was cold inside..
MoreOur experience at this hotel was very disappointing. The room was extremely basic—only one washcloth and two towels provided. The bathtub had mildew, and the carpets were stained and dirty. After being out all day, we returned to find our room had not been serviced. When I called the front desk, I was told guests must request housekeeping. We’ve traveled extensively and have never had to do this anywhere else. The staff mentioned a posted sign explaining the policy, but it turned out to be a very small notice near the front desk that would be easy for everyone to miss.Between the lack of cleanliness and poor communication, this hotel needs serious attention to both maintenance and guest service.
