The Irving Public Library, administered by the City of Irving in Texas, houses more than 531,300 books. The library also features a selection of audio cassettes, compact discs and DVDs. It has over 325,800 serials, microfilm rolls and microfiche sheets. The Irving Public Library offers a range of programs for children, teenagers and adults. The library hosts storytime sessions for students in elementary schools. It provides cooking classes in English and Spanish. The Irving Public Library offers education combined with entertainment in the form of lectures, concerts and plays. In addition, the library assists in accessing digital media materials and e-books. It operates several books clubs, such as MidWeek Mysteries and Tea & Talk.
