Location is pretty poor with a homeless shelter and drug addiction prevalent on the front door step. Front revolving door has been broken the past four days. The handicap door and entrance and door also broken. So very difficult if managing suitcases which I was. Water fountain is broken. And we are drinking tap water. Staff - only response is that they have informed the company who haven’t responded. This is NOT what you expect for this price in NY. Not staying at a Citizen M hotel again.

The room is too small, if there is two of you, you cannot get into the bed at the same time.It’s unbelievably small for $600 a night

This is my last night at the Moxy, Lower east side and I want say goodbye to Danni, Jess, Sam, Bernie, Sydney and Moe for your kindness and exceptional service. . I truly appreciate everything you did and wish you all the best! I had a wonderful vacation and cant wait to return.

CitizenM has great features and one drawback. The highlights are the location, value, the common spaces and the coolness of the place. The location was perfect for our visit to the 9/11 memorial and visits to restaurants in SOHO and the East Village. The rooms are clean, and the iPad controller for the room is efficient and unique. The room prices are very reasonable by NYC standards, and the view from our room was fabulous! However, the room was very small, not European small...smaller. It's fine for one person and a challenge for two. For our overnight stay we really enjoyed this hotel.

Had a short stay with my boyfriend here and it was perfect! This was my first time at a CitizenM hotel, and it combined Moxy-esque decor with a pod hotel layout. Our room was streamlined and cozy, and I loved the bed being up against the window with amazing views! I also appreciated the early check-in (2:00pm!) so we could wash up and settle our luggage before going out exploring, and the location was perfect access for Soho, the East Village, Chinatown, and beyond. Would definitely book this place again, it was a winner!
