Opus38 Studio is a boutique music studio in San Francisco’s SoMa neighborhood, offering private piano instruction and a rich, personalized approach to music education for children, teens, and adults. Founded in 2013 as Syntonique Studio and reimagined as Opus38 Studio in 2021, we have grown into a welcoming musical sanctuary where students can develop technique, musicianship, creativity, and confidence in a focused and supportive environment. Our studio offers private piano lessons, enrichment programs, workshops, studio concerts, and opportunities to learn and perform together. Students receive more than a weekly lesson—we encourage them to become thoughtful, independent musicians through performance, collaboration, guided practice, and ongoing musical exploration. Our new studio in SoMa was designed to be a place to slow down, unplug, and make music. With dedicated teaching rooms, a concert hall, and spaces for collaboration and practice, Opus38 offers a more immersive experience than a traditional music lesson. We work with students of all ages and levels, from beginners discovering the piano for the first time to advanced pianists pursuing serious musical study. Our approach combines the depth of conservatory training with a warm, personal environment—without the conservatory pressure.
