NO LUGGAGE CARTS, which makes check in a PIA. No Micro or fridge in some rooms-ASK. No coffeemaker in the room. No breakfast. Housekeeping that will knock on your door 2 hours before checkout and seem surprised when you are not pleased about the interruption. The biggest downside is the financial policies: $100 deposit is charged, even if you pay with credit card. I extended my stay, and they didn't inform me the rate would increas--almost $40 in my case. I wanted a ground floor room. When I reserved, I was told the only way to assure this was to pay extra for an ADA-compliant room. The desk personnel were pleasant, and handled a problem with my access card promptly. The room was clean, bed reasonably comfortable.I was stuck in Grand Junction due to a vehicle being in a repair shop. When I found I needed to remain in the area beyond the 2 days and discovered the weekend rate was going to be over $200 ,per night, due to an event in the area, I looked elsewhere. The rate increase was the same for other lodging in Grand Junction, so I booked a rental car and drove to Parachute, where I found the Grand Vista Hotel-a place I highly recommend.

Honestly, I’ve had more luxurious naps in my sedan. I checked into the Red Roof Inn expecting the bare minimum, and somehow, they still missed the mark. When I asked for extra towels, the front desk looked at me like I’d asked for a kidney. If you enjoy the ambiance of a cold basement and the smell of stale cigarettes, this is your spot. Otherwise, keep driving.

After calling Red Roofs guest relations phone number to report and issue with an extremely rude staff member we were told we could no longer stay at that hotel or apparently any red roof inn properties. We were kicked out of the hotel for calling the customer complaint number with a complaint. Is that how Red Roof Inn handles the guest relations?

If I could give it a zero rating I would. Not any vacancies elsewhere so we reserved this motel from 50 miles away. Cost us over $150. Filthy, many items in room didn’t work or were missing. Screen was bent where somebody tried to get it off. Many things were in disrepair. I slept in my clothes with a towel under me and a towel on pillows. Outside trash cans were overflowing so much that trash was littering all around it. Room smelled of smoke and urine. If they would have offered a refund I would have immediately taken that offer. Unfortunately the front desk receptionist stated on my call for reservation that no refunds would be issued. If you are expecting cleanliness and up kept facilities you are looking at the wrong motel.

We had booked days ahead at Red Roof Inn knowing we would end a day there after 13+ hours driving. Tried to check in at 8:15pm, our room wasn't ready. A real red flag should have been that the front desk immediately offered us a full refund. According to the lady staffing the desk, there were 6 events town this weekend and all hotels were fully booked, which I believe, because I tried three other dog friendly options in Grand Junction before booking Red Roof Inn when trip planning. Zero alternatives in town, and no other rooms available anywhere that night. Front desk says our room can be ready in 30 minutes, end up calling us 45 minutes later while we're away having dinner, to inform us we can now check-in. We check in after our late dinner, get to our room and it looks in rough shape, paint scraped/chipped walls, obvious color differences where repairs have happened, super outdated, but we just want to shower and sleep and don't really care about appearances. Unfortunately it turned out our room had no towels, no toilet paper, gross hairs all over bathtub, a light over the sink that didn't work, the floor was dirty and disgusting, and the A/C unit had wires poking out of it. This was AFTER they took extra time to make it ready for us. I call the front desk, the lady says she will try to find us some towels, she comes by about 20 minutes later with two floor-mat type towels and a hand towel, plus a new roll of toilet paper for us. She apologizes saying I'm so sorry but housekeeping left early today and this is all I could find. Meanwhile I had explored and seen how gross the room was. Her and I agreed I can talk to the manager in the morning, I felt very bad for the position she was in as she was nice and trying her best. Room was too gross to do anything but sleep on top of the bed, nobody wanted to touch that shower, and we slept without wanting to attempt turning the A/C unit on. We didn't even go barefoot in the room and would have slept in our car if it wasn't fully packed and we had the dog with us. Early next morning we're eager to leave, front desk just has a bowl for turning in room cards and a sign with a handwritten number in highlighter marker for assistance (I scrubbed part of the number in my photo so that person doesn't get random calls). I call, no manager this morning, but one will call me back later. We leave and hit the road, manager never calls. I call the hotel back late that afternoon, no answers to several calls. Each call to the main hotel number rang 30+ times before the calls just dropped, no messaging or voicemail picks up. I call the marker-written number I thankfully took a picture of; Oh manager wasn't in today. I call the next day, again the front desk never answers the main phone. I call the Red Roof Inn corporate complaint line, they try two separate times during my very long call with them, while I'm holding, to reach the property by phone. They also can't get an answer, so I give them all the details, tell them we had no option but to take the room that night with literally everything full all across town and that we were exhausted from an entire days driving (and too long of a drive to the next town down the road). Corporate says they will investigate, and a few days later I get an email saying they will give me Red Roof Inn points IF I open a rewards account with them, after I had clearly asked for a refund. I said no thanks, I'll just go about posting this review where I can. We had booked out entire road trip from Detroit to San Diego ahead of time through BringFido and every hotel was fantastic except for this nightmare. I'll never stay at a Red Roof Inn again. With one of the lights not working, it was tough to photograph but attached hopefully you can see the hairs in the tub, what looks like a piece of cereal or tortilla chip on the floor (and some more hair) in front of the dresser drawer, and the scuz all along the baseboards.
