tripadvisorScheduled trip and was assured spot was confirmed. Left several voicemails closer to date, then day before, day of ...our guide never responded or arrived at pickup location to take us on our trip. Maybe there was an emergency. But we still have not received any follow up from this guide.
MoreMy boyfriend and I booked a 2-hr trip through the website and received a confirmation email verifying our reservation. We never received a confirmation call from the owner, and we also never received a cancellation call or notification that our trip would not be happening. We sat out on the curb outside of our hotel for approx 45 min-1 hr waiting to be picked up and he never showed. Very disappointed. Tried calling and even left a message on his voicemail, and we have yet to hear back. Not sure if this was some big miscommunication issue, but it feels like we were scammed and still waiting to hear back to request a refund.
MoreKC was awesome, kind, and helpful. He took us on a super relaxing paddle down the Narrows in IRB. Loved out experience!!
MoreWhat a wonderful morning we had! KC came and picked us up at our Airbnb in Clearwater and drove the three of us to our launch site at John Chesnut Sn Park. We had originally planned to go kayaking near Honeymoon Island but it was cold and windy and the water choppy (white horses!) so he chose a more sheltered spot for us, which we were very pleased about . On the drive, KC told us many stories of his life in Florida and pointed out places of interest. I must admit, as I'd never been kayaking before I had been hesitant about going, but once on the water it was an excellent experience. From the edge of lake Tarpon we headed up a creek which could have been in the Amazon! We didn't see any manatees, had a glimpse of a young gator, but best of all saw a Limpkin - a native bird of Florida which is now a rare sight. All in all it was magical!
MoreThis was basically a relaxing kayak trip to the end spot...the bar. KC came and picked us up, but unfortunately we didn't see any wildlife or sunset, as it was overcast. But overall a good time.
