What a charming hotel! We were so pleasantly surprised. We stayed two nights over a weekend and had a great stay. This hotel is housed in a renovated 100 year old bank is full of fun quirks and unique touches and tons of old world details. Rooms were beautifully decorated, great bed and sheets and I think the best shower water pressure I’ve seen in years—I truly would come back just for the shower. Great toiletries, too. A little street noise because it’s downtown but that adds to the urban charm. Food and drinks in both the lobby and rooftop pool were good. The rooftop pool is really cool and has a great view and vibe. Make sure to go see the bank vault in the basement! Only negatives—no coffee maker in the room, the property is showing a little wear and tear in a few places and valet (like all valets in a city hotel) is steep. We loved it!

Per La: a superb hotel in LA downtown, brimming with positive energy and sophistication. It occupies the former site of the Bank of Italy, and the original vault remains, elegantly integrated into the setting. What truly impresses is the sense of constant delight derived from countless, carefully harmonized details—creating a seamless thread of wonder at the level of refinement offered to guests. Outstanding work! A special mention goes to Alyah for her kindness, welcoming attitude, and great professionalism. A superb location! Excellent hospitality and atmosphere. A must-stay in Downtown LA! We how to come back soon… Annamaria & Plinio (Florence, Italy).

I want to write a review for Kate who checked us in and made our two year anniversary that much more special with her incredible welcome, kindness and help. She was beyond exceptional when it came to customer service and hospitality skills. Aside from that — we have been comingTo Per La for two years now and half a dozen times and it’s one of the best places when it comes to decor, ambiance, amenities, services and location. Thank you !

My husband & I stayed at the hotel during a trip to LA & Santa Barbara in April. Overall, we were very happy with our stay. Check in was easy, staff members were friendly, the lobby is beautiful and rooms were clean and decorated in interesting ways (not at all typical generic hotel). We had a delicious breakfast one morning in the lobby one morning and I enjoyed the coffee place. As noted by other guests, the rooms are very small. Having two bigger suitcases presented a bit of a challenge and there's not a lot of room for extras. The fixtures can be funky. That said, the rooms were ckean and quiet. The last night marred our stay a bit as we decided to have dinner at the rooftop bar and found the food & service to be disappointing. It was a Monday night so maybe not staffed well (?), but it wasn't in keeping with the rest of our stay.

I switched up from my usual LA hotel & glad I did. This hotel rocks. It is beautiful, the rooms are moody & calming. I was upgraded to a suite without asking & the staff were so friendly. The breakfast was also very good. There is a daily resort fee, $18 gets credited to you for meals/drinks daily. Overall clean, safe, beautiful hotel with a great pool.
