The Division for Disability Determination Services is an organization that is funded through the Social Security Administration (SSA). The organization is engaged in making disability determinations for Texans with severe disabilities. The Department operates programs in four distinct units: Rehabilitation Services, Blind Services, Early Childhood Intervention Services and Disability Determination Services. The Division for Disability Determination Services has collaborated with the Rehabilitation Council of Texas (RCT) as well as the State Independent Living Council (SILC).
