I’m not prepared to be overly impressed by a major chain hotel, but these folks did it. The way we were greeted on our arrival was sooo nice with a glass of cold champagne and several people including management making sure we were all set. Breakfast at the restaurant was pricey as expected but the huevos rancheros were generous and delicious and the fruit bowl was a wonderful variety including various fresh berries and papaya - enough for two plus another couple days’ snacking. Would definitely stay here again. Only caveats would be the $35 per night for self parking (come on, really???). Also lots of aircraft noise but shuts off completely between 11pm and 7 am so not a big issue. OHHH almost forgot the best part - check out the room fridge!!! Actually cold, usable! Best ever!

Our stay was severely impacted by constantly malfunctioning fire alarms, which went off repeatedly throughout the night. This created an incredibly stressful environment. The constant alarms and confusion left us deeply concerned for our safety and completely unable to sleep. We traveled specifically for my son to compete in the Junior Olympics—a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity he worked incredibly hard to reach. The severe lack of sleep directly impacted his athletic performance and completely overshadowed what should have been a milestone experience for him and our family.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this stay was frustrating from start to finish. The biggest issue was the lack of transparency regarding parking fees. At no point during the booking process was it made clear that there would be a significant daily parking charge. Finding out about an unexpected fee after arrival felt misleading and left a bad first impression.Unfortunately, the room itself wasn't much better. The air conditioning unit was incredibly loud and cycled on and off throughout the night. My pregnant partner and I barely slept because of the constant noise. When you're paying for a hotel, a good night's rest is one of the basic expectations, and this hotel completely missed the mark.To make matters worse, the shower did not have hot water. Having to take a cold shower is already inconvenient, but it's especially unacceptable when traveling with a pregnant partner who expected a comfortable and relaxing stay.Overall, the experience felt far below the standard I would expect from a Hyatt property. Between the undisclosed parking fees, sleepless nights caused by the noisy AC, and the lack of hot water, our stay was anything but enjoyable. We chose this hotel expecting a comfortable weekend getaway before welcoming our baby, but instead left feeling disappointed and frustrated.I would not stay here again and cannot recommend it based on our experience.

We needed to check in earlier than the usual 3 PM because of a health need, and called one day ahead to request it - they said they would try to accommodate our early check in, but when we arrived, they did not have our requested room ready. However, they did provide us early check in in another type of room which shows flexibility. We like this hotel because it is convenient, clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. Staff are excellent and welcoming.

An absolute failure of brand standards and basic hospitality. Avoid.I just completed a 6-night stay here (Room 316), and the property is completely mismanaged. It started on night two when I was served a meal at their restaurant, WAVE Newport Beach, with a human hair cooked directly into it. It was a blatant health code violation. I was not going to bring this up, as the service from the restaurant staff was amazing, but the below and the flippant attitude of the front desk supervisor changed my opinion.Because their kitchen failed basic sanitation, I had to order DoorDash for the rest of the week just to eat safely. Instead of showing accountability, the front desk supervisor cornered me in the lobby on Thursday and aggressively policed me, banning me from eating my outside food there because other guests' children had made a mess. They completely flipped the script: their unhygienic kitchen forces a guest out, and then they penalize that guest and make them feel like they did something wrong. To top it off, at checkout, the Front Office Manager actively stonewalled me and flatly refused to let me speak to the General Manager to resolve the issue, dismissively quoting policy. They treat corporate guests like an inconvenience and care more about hiding their operational failures than actual guest safety and comfort. Take your business elsewhere.
