Location was nice because it was near where I needed to be. The only thing I didn't like was that the walls are really thin so you hear your neighbors and your neighbors hear you. Or at least when there's a door in your room to another room, you hear them. You hear your neighbors specifically through the doors. No Bueno...

The complex feels like a bunch of inexpensive apartment buildings on the outside rather than a grand hotel, but the grounds were well kept. There was noise from hallway during day and I was worried about sleeping later in the evening, but it was all quiet at night). Bed comfortable, good shower, cool AC that worked when needed and very quiet. Downside: Beat up furniture (desk) in my room, but otherwise just OK. No real ocean direct access on foot, but I did walk over across a rood (no lights, but not busy) to the marina and beach for a nice view of the inlet. I did not eat in the hotel: restaurant bit instead had dinner at a ~100 person event, but the food was very good and the service at the even was excellent!

First off, the staff was amazing. Three main issues though: 1) the rooms have an insane amount of light in them that you cannot simply “turn off”. For example, the fridge is so bright and lit up the entire room. There were other things that were very bright too.2) the lobby was incredibly loud after 10 PM. And where it’s located the noise reverberates all the way up to where I was on the fourth floor. 3) the conference room that we were in was so hot. Not sure if the AC was working or if it’s just bad air flow. Made the entire day tough to sit through.

This property offers real value in Newport Beach. The rooms are comfortable and quiet despite its convenient proximity to the airport. The breakfast buffet offers the best range of quality fruit and entrees in Newport Beach. (Coffee is also first rate.) Most importantly, the staff is well-trained and works hard to provide every guest with wonderful and accommodating service. We will return!

This is the first staying at Hyatt property in years and was pleasantly surprised. Staff was great, Jake was extremely professional and kind after a long travel day. His recommendation of hotel restaurant was spot on. I am not usually a fan of hotel food but was not not wrong. The room, elevators and common areas were well kept. Clean and tended to. Diana was friendly on check out. Almost makes me willing to give up my diamond status with Hilton to see what Hyatt can offer. Thank you to great staff
