The first Charlie's Chili opened for business on Balboa Island during the summer of 1967 and quickly became a hit. In 1972, we moved from the bay to the Newport Pier, and that's where we've been ever since. Home to the world-famous chili cheese omelet and gorgeous beachfront views, we're a local landmark and a favorite spot for people from all over. Regulars come in for their weekly bloody Mary fix. Vacationers come to watch surfers ride the waves. Families come in to take advantage of our dog-friendly dining and all-day breakfast. Basically, we offer a little something for everybody.
