tripadvisorHubby and I decided to come here for our daily stroll while visiting our kids. There is a walking path on each floor sponsored by Blue Cross. Just follow the arrows on the floor and you will get a good workout with the added benefit of window shopping...you never know what hidden gem you will find with all the different shops available. We come here every time we are in town because it's such a joy to walk and shop. We will be back.
MoreTrue, this is no longer the Carousel Mall, but the carousel is still there spinning in the food court of the large mall. It's definitely a wonderful sight to see if you're into Carousels. Historic.
MoreTripadvisor lists Carousel Center, and mentions DestinyUSA as a similar attraction 0.1 miles away. In truth, Carousel Center is no longer and DestinyUSA is its successor via rebranding. Nothing much has changed -- expansion was only minor and only to allow the owner to negotiate new tax breaks. It's still just another regional shopping mall (with the exception of a nice antique carousel, admittedly). Folks who find its size remarkable must not have traveled around the country much. Certainly no reason, by itself, to visit Syracuse.
MoreThe carousel dates to 1909 and was made by the Philadelphis Toboggan Company. All the horses were carved by Leo Zoller. It took him a year and was paid $1000.00!! The carousel has been beautifully restored and is impeccably maintained. A delight for children of all ages including is at 70 years.
MoreSo many stores!!! They even have a good outlet section. Got great deals at Coach and Fossil. Easy to get lost.
