tripadvisorI remembered it as a pretty nice baseball spot for catching spring training games, but idk what happened. As i understand, there's not a single professional team linked with it
MoreWe visited this park as part of the Tucson Gem and Mineral Show. It seemed like a nice place. It was our favorite area of the showing of the minerals and fossils!
MoreKino ballpark. Originally named TEP Park, is a beautiful place to watch a game, either soccer or baseball. It is a shame that no major league games are played there any more. I believe the problem is that it is located in the wrong part of Tucson. Too far for most of the city to travel. The original spot suggested was at Congress St & I-10 which would have ideal for everyone. But the morons that run this town decided that it was not the right location. Now we paying for that mistake! Otherwise it is a nice place to see.
MoreName has changed to Kino Veteran's Memorial Stadium and there is no longer a professional baseball team associated with the park.
MoreTucson Electric Park/Kino Stadium. Not a bad ball park, with really good views of the mountains, no bad seats for watching the game, ability to walk around the park while still keeping up with the action. Prices aren't terrible (compared to some Major and Minor League parks I've been to, from Single A Cal League up to the Show.) It can get a little hot here in the summer months, even at 7:30 pm, but this is Arizona. :) It will really be sad to see this ball park fall into disuse when the Padres move to El Paso at the end of this season. Hope the PCL can find us another team, but I doubt that Tucson will support them any better.
