tripadvisorIf you're into history I recommend. It was So interesting. We spent over 3 hrs there and didn't explore the gardens very much. The museum was so interesting, we spent so much time in there. The homes are very interesting, downfall, which we understood why, is that you cannot go in. They have doors open and windows open so that you can see inside. I would have liked to see the 2nd floor, at least some pictures. We did the self tour with the free audio using 2 ear pods. My hubby wore one and I wore one. It was great. I did notice some of the guides were great. When we completed all we could for the day we rested and this one guide was speaking. He was fantastic and gave a lot more information than the audio. He made me wish we did the person tour. There is ample parking and it was free. So much information. Made me think of my grandparents and how they lived.
MoreEdison Park is really nice place and we enjoyed so much when we visited the Edison and Ford estates. It is a must to see place!
MoreThis is a very nice area of Fort Myers and really should not be missed. Estates, water views, palm trees.
MoreWe were very fortunate to have Maxine as our guide…she was so informative…knew every answer to every question the group asked. We came away with a great appreciation of what it took for us to have all the technology available to us today.
Morefor someone from northern Ohio this was really special as we grew up learning so much about Edison and Ford being so much in the industrial belt. So to see their winter vacation homes was really special and so well preserved; such beautiful grounds and so much ahead of his time. Really a special few hours and I felt the $50 for 2 adult self guided tour was not too much in helping preserve such a piece of history. I'm glad our relatives convinced us to visit during our short week in the area.
