Perfect place for day-boaters and non-boaters looking for a nice, quiet lakefront venue. Plenty of parking, benches, picnic tables and the lovely views of Cayuga Lake.

This is a nice little park along Cayuga Lake - a big attraction is the marina and boat ramp but there are some attractions to non-boaters as well. There are picnic tables scattered around the park that make for a nice place for a picnic. There is a paved trail past the marina that goes out to a very pretty lakeside with views of the channel to the marina and Ithaca on the hillside beyond. We stopped here to eat dinner that we picked up from a local restaurant and truly enjoyed the peace and quiet we found on an evening.

As we were headed north to the Thirsty owl winery, I suddenly realized my brakes were not working! So I slowed down and pulled into the Allan H Treman State Marine Park! There were clean bathrooms and wonderful amount of picnic tables overlooking the Cayuga Lake! The tow truck driver arrived and we were able to get our car fixed and back on the road!

The park is located just north of Ithaca on route 89. Largest feature is a marina housing boats of all sizes. There is also the areas dog park and a gorgeous path that begins at the Marina and runs two miles in one direction along the Cayuga Inlet. Biking or hiking or rollerblading etc. Several sports fields adjacent along the path as are restrooms.

Saw the local Shakespeare company perform Taming of the Shrew. Very well done and enjoyable if you are a fan of Shakespeare. Some very good actors. The outdoor setting near the marina was very nice. No problems bringing your own food and drink.
