love to go fishing out by ellis, lots of variety. some spots can be shallow so be careful if you're on a boat.

Cedar Rapids has a wonderful downtown area and this is a great place to shop and go for a walk. This is a must do if you come to Cedar Rapids

We went out on our own walking tour of the town and river frontage. There are many eateries and drinking establishments supported with parking garages but (in the area we walked around) very few stores / shops. All over the town the wonderful smell in the air from the Quaker Oats facility (oven factory) was quite enjoyable.

Poop can’t ruin the beauty of this river and the status building plumped in the middle. Was just a gorgeous morning with the most beautiful view along with the calming noise of the flowing river. Really the geese have pooped all over the sidewalks but still a very relaxing stroll.

Depending on where you go on the river there are really exceptional views; sometimes you will see bald eagles. There are many walkways along the river and the fireworks over the river on July 4th are typically amazing.
