If romance is on the docket, then this is one of downtown's great escapes. The boutique hotel is situated in two of Denver's historic buildings, and is within walking distance to just about everything including the Performing Arts Complex, LoDo and the 16th Street Mall. The luxurious interior screams Mediterranean from the lobby to the posh rooms, many which feature custom furnishings and the all-important feather beds. But although the hotel is perfect for whiling away a weekend of amore, it also takes care of the business class. In addition, you are encouraged to bring along the pet, and if you cannot, then the hotel can provide a goldfish to keep you company!

tripadvisorNice hotel with a retro vibe. Clean rooms and a very nice restaurant. Would have been more stars except for the billing issue that's still not resolved.
MoreThe front desk staff was really outstanding, and the valet as well. Unfortunately, that’s where the five star experience ended. The room we were in was okay at best, although clean, there were stains on the wall, moldy bathroom ceiling, and it was dimly lit. Our room faced an ally and building. It made the already small room feel even more claustrophobic. Lastly, we had a red eye flight to catch and the valet doesn’t run at that time. My husband had to walk with a security guard to retrieve our car. It’s not bad service, however, this is not ideal considering the fact that we still paid the entire fee for valet.
MoreWe stayed three nights at this hotel. It is no where near a 4 star hotel. Booked through AMEX as one of their signature hotels. We asked for a quiet room and were put in room 402 what is located under the gym in the 5th floor. It is pretty much loud from 630am till 9ish at night. Weights slamming in the floor, ect. We brought it up to the staff but they did nothing other than there are signs in the gym to keep the noise down. No room switch, nothing! No upgrade with platinum AMEX either! The hotel was nowhere near sold out. The bathroom was brutal. Shower pan was cracked. Looks like they tried to fix it with a paint on sealer. The faucet in the shower dripped all night and no hot water! Lighting in the room was poor. Breakfast was nice as was the location. We were very disappointed in the three nights we stayed there. Whatever you do, DO NOT stay in room 402 if you are a light sleeper!
MoreBusiness trip, good bed, quiet peaceful dark room. Very courteous staff. Convenient walk to CO Conf Center which I prefer over Lyfting. Walking distance to many average downtown restaurants & 16th Mall if that’s your scene $60+ / day adjacent garage parking if you drove. Just courtesy tea & coffee in lobby though adjacent restaurant is open B L D.Priced for conference/ business
MoreThe Kimpton Hotel Monaco was a great place to stay while on business in Denver. It's in a great location downtown. The room was clean, comfortable, and well appointed. The staff were all friendly. The nightly wine hour was well run. I would definitely stay here again!
