tripadvisorMy wife and I just enjoyed our vacation here for the 15th year in a row and have never had a bad experience. This year we had 10 family members join us and they all will be back. All the rooms face the Ocean and its always clean and comfortable. All rooms have a private balcony and a fireplace with a big refrigerator and sleeping with the screen door shut and hearing the waves can really make for a great night sleep. While we were there, they replaced all the mattress in every room added more to their breakfast room and every year we see upgrades all over the hotel. I can't say enough about the staff there either. Jay and Rafael are the most polite and helpful people you will ever meet. The cleaning staff who have all been there for a long time do a fantastic job day in and day out and have never had to complain about anything. I even noticed one day a lady out picking up trash in the parking lot and later found out it was the owner. Everything you need is within walking distance. grocery store bars and restaurants coffee shops and Mexican and Italian food and sports bars. I highly suggest if you want a beach getaway to go here. We love it so much and wont vacation anywhere else and have decided to now go twice a year because for a beach front getaway it is very affordable. Thanks to the people who work here and the owner for keeping this place affordable clean and a great experience.
MoreIf you are looking for some peace and quite this may not be the hotel for you. It is charming and on the beach with a fireplace. I came here for a much needed break to unwind and destress and fall asleep to the ocean. Instead I got very noisy drunken people that shared the downstairs area with me. I reported them to the front desk three times and they were very unhelpful. I was told that they did not know what room it was when I told them it was directly to the left of me. At 10.50pm I lost my cool and had to tell them to please keep it down. The front desk did nothing.
MoreIt was a pleasant experience . I thought it was thru the room toward the view of the beach . You could walk onto the beach but it's actually closed off. You have to walk around the hotel toward the back and the beach is there! It was a beautiful experience and view ! The rooms are very tiny but beautiful not much privacy ! And the fireplace is awesome ! The fast food restaurants made me sick nearby on harbor blvd ! We loved our stay and jay was very helpful at the front desk ! Was not discriminating at all ! Very kind man ! I stayed here 2 days and it was very quiet ,
MoreWe have stayed at the inn on the Beach a few times as you cannot beat the view, the service and it is just such a nice quiet place to either relax or work. The entire staff is so accommodating and if there is anything you need, they take care of it right away. Sunsets are amazing! Breakfast and coffee on your patio feels like a stress reset. This is a boutique hotel with period furnishings but everything is clean and comfortable.
MoreWhat an amazing small hotel on the beach at the end of Seaward Avenue overlooking the islands and just down from Ventura Pier. My wife and I have lived in Ventura for 25 years and decided to have a nice staycation on the street where we enjoy lots of good restaurants. We went to bed to the sound of waves after a beautiful sunset and dinner at a nice Italian place across the street. Love the little gas fireplace that’s on a timer. The room was very comfortable and the view is amazing from the second story balcony where we stayed. Jay, the manager, was very helpful when I stopped by for their continental breakfast then we chatted about Seaward and all the things we like about this area of Ventura. I’ll be recommending this to people that visit from out of town.
