This exhibit is for adults and older children. I took my 4-year-old grandson and had a 5-minute tour of the exhibition. The tour guide was rude and should be stated that this is not for children.

My husband loves trains and when he saw those, he spent about 30 min recording every nook and crany besides posing alongside the fence for another photo. We took pictures in the little caboose also! Such fun just watching him be a little boy again!

What a nice little surprise near our inn in Gibsonville. We had spotted this attraction while walking around the night before and stopped in on Saturday morning while volunteers were running the little model trains. Different parts of the tracks are decorated to resemble various nearby landmarks. They run on Saturday mornings and I believe it it all maintained by volunteers. Parents brought their kids to enjoy the trains and chat with some of the volunteers. Some of them occasionally swap out their train cars during the morning for a little variety.

We were visiting the area and did not even know this existed, but it was well worth the stop. It contains trains for kids and adults.

Gibsonville is the cutest small town. I love their garden railroad and greens. They have nice shops as well. Worth a visit on a nice day.
