Avoid this overpriced and unhealthy facility [smells like mold and mildew]. I paid $800+ for my daughter and I to have the orange signature massage and ritual bathing. First, they did not use the correct oil and were rushed and did not give us all the procedures listed on their website [such as scalp massage, guasha treatment]. The slimey face mask was left on our faces and we had to wash off ourselves in the shower -- the massage therapists were overbooked and not experienced--we were rushed. We left the facility in chilly weather with wet hair -- the Dyson hair dryers did not work. We never received our add-on healthy juice drink -- $24 each -- during our treatment. We did not have a guided tour of the baths and missed some of the main parts, such as indoor/outdoor pool. After 90 minutes, we had to keep asking for our massage -- very disorganized with a total lack of customer service. The place needed to be cleaned -- it smelled like mold and mildew and their facility has very few bathrooms for number of guests. I tried to convey my frustration at the front desk when we left -- you pre-pay for this place. I had to speak to two persons and the 'manager' promised to respond to me that week -- that communication never happened. She gave me a refund of $174 for the tips paid to massage therapists [$120] and two juices for my daughter and I. I tried to dispute this horrific experiences with Mastercard and you are locked into all of their 'legal verbage' when you pre-book online. I was just trying to have a special day with my daughter and it turned into a nightmare -- DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE -- what I thought would be a very memorable day at a spa turned into a huge stressor -- this is not about money -- this review is left for others to not have the save unfavorable experience.

this spa has terrible customer service. I booked an appointment for May 2026 the spa charges in advance for your spa treatments. The spa contacted me to cancel the appointment due to construction. The spa will not give me a refund terrible customer service.

My two friends and I were really looking forward to visiting AIRE Ancient Baths Chicago, but the experience was incredibly disappointing. The cleanliness was a major issue. The single bathroom on the bath floor was dark and filthy, and the locker room was unsanitary as well. The showers were moldy, dirty, and covered in hair, with broken body wash pumps and holders. The facilities themselves were also poorly designed. The lockers were far too small, making it difficult to change comfortably. The towels and robes were undersized—even at 5’4” and 130 lbs, they did not fit well. The massage portion was equally disappointing. The table was extremely uncomfortable and made it hard to breathe, and the linens had an unpleasant smell. There was no option to choose a scent, which felt like a missed detail for a spa experience. The required aqua socks made the entire experience uncomfortable, and having to put them back on after the massage was particularly unpleasant.Overall, we could not leave the baths soon enough. For the price and reputation, this was a 0/10 experience and we would not recommendTake your money and go to a REAL spa.

i was hoping for a chill day but found the place kinda cold and cramped. water temps were off and felt more lukewarm than warm. plus towels were limited and staff seemed bothered when asked for extras. Like, probably won’t be back anytime soon.

The excellent: my massage, cool ambience with friendsThe not-so-excellent: water temps and sauna temps lukewarm to cool not hot, stingy with towels (no extra towels), cheap robes, no sandals and weird water socks. My thoughts? Maybe I should have shelled out for a higher end experience as I can afford it.
