A block to the beach… awesome location, very clean, keeps us coming back. a go to get away for a mini vaca.

POSITIVES: Decent location very close to freeways, grocery store, restaurant and the beach. Hassle-free, easy parking and a cozy, artsy lobby with complimentary breakfast. Lovely and simple room decor. Non-Smoking. Comfortable bed. Decent price for proximity to the beach. However…NEGATIVES: No extra security latch on back of room door. Property Maintenance/Attention to detail Is Needed: 1) Brighter business lighting for the main hotel sign would make the building more inviting. 2) Better cleaning is also needed. Found a huge hair wad in bathroom tub drain. 3) Shower faucet lever would not raise fully so that shower head produced full water flow. 4) Broken built-in face bowl strainer. 5) Dirt build-up between floor tiles and around wall outlets and corners of bathroom. 6) Face towel, floor towel, and mid-sized body washing towel were provided, but no full bath towel. 2 beach towels were provided and that’s good. 7) Bathroom ceiling vent filthy with build-up. Clothes closet had a bad smell. Paid through Expedia and was charged an extra $18 processing fee at front desk. Bathroom and kitchenette cabinets need upgrades and protective shellac to guard against salt air. Not a horrible stay but mediocre.

Exit on Seaward in Ventura for The Shores Inn, Suites, & Beach Houses on “The Pierpont” in Ventura is California’s best kept secret! I’m “lettin’ the cat outta’ the bag”, as the saying goes. Why? PRICE! QUALITY! CLEAN! SAFE! QUIET! PARKING! STAFF! LOCATION! LOCATION! LOCATION! I’m a semi-retired publishing consultant (Scott Publishing Co. Kalispell, MT; Vacation Country Travel Guide) with grandchildren. Best place to get work done and safe and affordable for families. A block from beach or right on beach.

Great staff, great location & amazing comfort!!! As soon as I played down on the incredible mattress; I knew, without a doubt... that I had to book a second nights stay!!!
