How many ridiculous rules there are for parking. If you pull in or back in to a parking space that is a $65 fine. I paid for parking and still received an additional $60 ticket because when time ticked off I was in my car googling restaurants to go to next since I’m not from the area and was first time visiting. Avoid this area like the plague. There are so many beautiful beaches around there where you do not have to worry about paying $120 for a one hour stay. Disgusting and they should be ashamed of themselves the city councilors who put this in place.

The beach and surrounding area are always well kept. It appears that the beach stays open 24 hours a day. There is a pier and the strand is a fun place to walk along.

Located very close to the pier, this beach is home to surfing contests and a great variety of activities centered around the water. In our opinion, it is the major beach in Oceanside and has the most interest. The expanse of sand and proximity to the pier's food shacks makes this a very popular beach.
