Walked in... food smell was yummy.Bartender wouldn't look at us.I asked for wine... she replied no and walked away..Asked if the connected restaurant had wine. Again, without looking at us, she said, I dunnoNever stopping to ask if there was anything we might be interested in.Place was not full.I'm making an assumption that she either had no customer service skills or was homophobic.Needless to say we left...

If you are downtown and not regularly going to The Silver Fox, you are missing out. Drinks are affordable, music is loud, and staff is polite and willing to pour. Take on a challenger in pool, or shuffle board with a group of friends. Or if the quiet is more your scene, enjoy the patio area and people watch. A must stop for any downtown night life goer, and a should be favorite for Bakersfield.

During my times here in Bako, the Fox is always a definite stop for me. Great crowd, great staff, great atmosphere. Bar foods are served in the afternoon/evenings and it's the official spot for Salty's BBQ during certain days. Always a good time!
