I seriously do not understand how this Motel 6 only has a 3.6 rating, because that was NOT my experience at all.I stayed here for quite a while, so I’m not writing this based on one night. I had plenty of time to see how this place is actually run and how people are treated. Every single day, the staff was nice to me. They were pleasant, helpful, and they made me feel comfortable being there. That matters, especially when you’re living out of a hotel and it temporarily becomes your home.And here’s the funny part—I also stayed at the Extended Stay right across the freeway. It cost more, and I thought it was awful. I would choose this Motel 6 over that place without even thinking twice. More expensive does NOT automatically mean better.And Mai, the manager? KEEP HER.Seriously. She is exactly the kind of person you want running a hotel. She was always pleasant, always professional, and just genuinely nice. You can tell a lot about a place by the person managing it, and it shows here.Was it the least expensive hotel I stayed at? Yep.Was it also by far the best experience? Yep.Sometimes it isn’t about fancy countertops, a bigger price tag, or the name on the building. It’s about how people treat you when you walk through the door.This Motel 6 made my stay so much better, and I’m genuinely grateful to Mai and the staff for that.3.6? Nope. Not from me. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I had a great visit and even had time to take a quick swim in the pool! I’m horrible with names but I think it was Maggie and Selena were very nice and welcoming, I would love to stay again the next time I stay in Bakersfield! Great food selections in walking distance to the hotel, it was a huge plus for us! Great Job!

Avoid at all costs! It's the worst motel I have ever stayed in. The rooms are dirty and smelly, with a suffocating stench of cigarettes and marijuana. The guests were unpleasant and disturbing. There were homeless people everywhere! It's a sad and squalid place. Never again!

great place property was clean and safe with in walking distance of so many restaurants and shopping centers like 3 coffee shops staff was wondering welcoming and friendly super fast check in all while asking about my trip room was so clean needs updating but very nice !!

Stayed here again and the staff is great. The area has a good amount of food restaurants. There’s a shopping plaza and theater very close by. The rooms are clean and the AC works really good. It’s decently quiet considering it’s near a freeway.
