This is a very nice hotel just a couple miles off Hwy 99. My room was spacious, clean, and well-appointed in a modern style. The bed was super comfy and I got great sleep. Service was friendly and the only real drawback was that there is no elevator. Overall, an excellent quick stay in Bakersfield.

We stayed here on our way back home. Location is nice, close to restaurants and major roads. It is an old building with some renovation. Some doors throughout the hotel don’t open and close properly. The room was nicer with modern style furniture and hardwood floors. We got upgraded so our room was in front of a pool with a balcony, it would be nice in the summer time. However, the walls don’t block any sound from the next door. There were very loud people staying next door to us and our family was woken up at 11:30pm due to the noise. I’m also disappointed by the cleanliness/housecleaning. We found an earwig in the bathroom of our room. In the fitness center, no water cups or towels were available. All the equipments were very old and some were not functioning properly. The front desk staff was nice though. This is one of the cheaper hotels so the value is good but I hope they continue to renovate more and keep the facility clean and well maintained.

No heat in the room and it is 43 degrees outside. We called the front desk within 15 minutes of getting into our room (waiting for heat to turn on). First they said they would come and fix it. Called back 15 minutes later and they said they were looking for a new room for us. So we repacked and waited. Called back 15 minutes later and were told they were checking out another room and would bring us new keys in a few minutes. Then they finally called back and offered us a space heater. By then we were freezing and exhausted. Although they delivered a space heater, it hardly put out any volume of hot air. We’re miserable. There are no extra blankets in the room. It’s after midnight so we can’t do anything except endure the cold. And the deadbolt in the door doesn’t work.We stay at Marriott properties regularly and have never been this disappointed and uncomfortable.

I want to mention how fortunate my mom and I was and how we were able to sleep in peace.Leanna, came to our rescue when we were unable to locate our reservations. We traveled to Bakersfield for a funeral. If it was not for Leanna’s assistance in a late night check-in , I felt like we were out of options. But with her sweet sweet assistance, we slept great and made it to our destination. Thank you Leanna and Diva for the next night as well.
