tripadvisorOur trip to Lower Antelope Canyon was unfortunately cut short due to heat exhaustion but our guide, Edder, and his coworkers, especially Coby and Tevin, could not have been kinder! They took wonderful care of us with fans, water, gatorade and helped us get back to the lodge. Thanks to them, we didn't have a medical emergency and look forward to returning soon!
MoreGetting there is just a few minutes from any Hotel in Page, AZ. It's directly across the road from the tours that do the upper canyon. It's $20 to take the tour with a (mandatory) guide and $8 to enter the Native American territory. I have to say that it was worth the money. I thought it would be difficult to get great photos with all the other people, but actually there was plenty of opportunity. Also, it's not everyday one gets to see these windblown walls of sandstone. (Petra in Jordan has some of that.) Allow 2 hours even though the tour is 1 hour because of the wait to get in. Can't go wrong and good for kids and adults alike. Howard S.
MoreThis one day 13 hour tour was the only way to see the many sites of Zion and Bryce Canyons (in one day). This was just an overview due to time limits but just wonderful. Pick up on Strip was 6:00 AM and drop off was 7:30 PM. Healthy bag lunch was provided and several well spaced stops for rest areas and food. The tour director Jeff was a wealth of knowledge and knew just when and how to share this. Well worth the effort and cost.
MoreSome of the most spectacular photography I have ever taken, above or below water, are the Antelope canyons! This place rocks. You need to book a tour in Page AZ, or book online for upper antelope canyon. Lower antelope canyon is just across the highway from upper. Lower canyon you can drive your own vehicle and park, upper, the guides drive you there. Five to ten minutes out of Page. Even if you are not a photographer, these canyons are breathtaking. My second trip was better than the first, I knew what I was in for. Definitely a must for all ages.
MoreWritten in both Japanese and English: I did a father-daughter trip few days before Thanksgiving and we enjoyed every single minute of it. Thank you Park Tours and Tom (guide) for a great memory Park tours was efficient when I made the reservation. They always replied promptly and did not require any deposits. I received the confirmation within 24 hours. They provided us a detailed map of the hotel to let us know where we should meet. The guide was prompt on time. His name is Tom and he made sure everyone was picked up on time and had a good time. He was a safe driver as well. Tom made us laugh and made sure we were comfortable. He took pictures of each of us from every scenic point. The best thing about this tour company is the guide is Japanese-English bilingual; tours BOTH upper and lower Antelope Canyon; Horseshoe Bend; Lake Powell; and was the most affordable. DO NOT FORGET TO TIP THE DRIVER GUIDE!!!!!!! I have seen so many people try to walk away from the guide without the tip and it is just so disrespectful. Especially, if you are not from the US, remember, When in Rome, do as Romans do. 10-15% minimum, in my opinion. Dress comfortably in layers because the weather is extreme and varies. Wear comfortable shoes or even hiking shoes if you have them; especially for Horseshoe Bend and Lower Canyon. You won't regret this!!
