I went back and forth about writing a review, but I don't want others to get disappointed like I was. I will say City Running Tours (or now City Fit Tours) in NYC was a blast and totally worth booking a run. CRT - San Francisco not so much. First off, the Mikkeller Bar has been closed since Oct 2022, yet this run is still advertised as such on the website and I was able to book the run. I got into town and noticed this bar was closed, but another bar was at the same location, The Beer Hall, so I reached out to the manager, Coleman Feeney, to confirm. I got a vague email of the bar closed and I would get a refund shortly which I didn't so asked if the run was still happening just at a different place and didn't get a response. I also booked this run two weeks out giving any manager enough time to reach out to let me know any run updates. Which I never got. The day of the scheduled run, Coleman Feeney was absent on answering any/all emails and the phone number/extension he has in his email isn't his and goes to a different voicemail box. So I went over to the supposed meeting place, 34 Mason Street, which everyone definitely should avoid! A lot of homeless individuals using heroin were posted up by The Beer Hall, which is also closed on Sunday. To be honest, if I hadn't already ran with City Fit Tours in the past, I would have thought I got scammed with the lack of communication I received from Coleman Feeney. I do think this company has potential in San Francisco, just needs to be managed by another individual. Overall, to date this Mikkeller Bar Run is still listed on the City Fit Tours San Francisco website but DO NOT BOOK MIKKELLER BAR RUN IT DOES NOT EXIST. Save yourself some disappointment. The owner of City Fit Tours did reach out and was very nice and I got a refund immediately, so that was a plus for me.

Guide was Tom and he was a wonderful person. He was punctual, extremely friendly, went with our pace even when my buddy had to walk a few times he didn't rush us etc. Showed us a lot of the city, told us a lot about it. Lot of little hidden gems etc - highly recommended.Great communication from Coleman too.

My experience running with City Running Tour is San Francisco was fantastic! I was able to schedule a tour the week of and work with the guide to customize my route. My running guide, Tom, was knowledgeable about the area and fun to chat with. The route and views were incredible! I highly recommend running with City Running Tours.

I've done running tours in multiple cities in europe and the US and they've all been very professional, fun and responsive. All have been memorable experiences thanks to the tour guides and a combo of a workout and learning experience. I thought city running is a good company. Unfortunately I had to deal with Coleman in San Francisco. Coleman is unprofessional and unresponsive. I assume they'll do ok given the lack of competitors but shame on Coleman for ruining a good gig. Shame.

Met Coleman at the Painted Ladies and enjoyed a run through the Haight district and Golden Gate Park. Learnt a lot on the way and Coleman gave some great tips for the city. A really great way to start a Sunday!
