My son and I experienced the Chattahoochee River by tubing through NOC in Roswell. It started in Don White Memorial Park and ended at Azalea Park. Tubes and life jackets are provided and a shuttle takes you back to your car. Great way to see the river and the process could not have been easier.

TOTAL SCAM! Took our money (a group of us) and sent a cancellation notice immediately, along with the confirmation of reservation, stating dangerous streamflow. I live on the river That’s an untrue auto-response. The river was smooth and perfect for a comfortable float down river. Our group met at the dock anyway to ask questions, only to discuss over other groups with the same issue and a gentleman that explained that Shoot the Hooch takes your money, cancels your reservation, refuses to refund your money, gives you a gift card, then pushes your reservation to a different date each time you try to rebook. Worst of all, every time they push your reservation, they take money off your gift card. One gentleman had been going through this for three months. Horrible, horrible scam!

With many access points throughout the city this is a great place to canoe or kayak when it’s not super hot. In peak summer the bugs & smell are not always as desired. Multiple parking options along the River.

We were two couples and a friend expecting to shoot the hooch! Well, first we used the parking lot, (be sure to bring change to pay). There is not to much guidance on the place, it’s good to be with someone that previously visit. That’s was our case! So even if know the “route” we got stucked a couple of times, but nothing to worry about. Be sure you wear some sandals o aqua shoes difficult to take out, because at the end you have to walk over some rocks... not bad, but it’s better if you wear something . By the way the water at that time was already cold so it is recommended to visit before! Nice experience

There's a stretch of the Chattachoochee between Buford dam and the Morgan Falls dam that is somewhat navigable despite the sandbars. Despite the reputation and mud, you find very little trash in the river. It can be very pleasant to be out on the water when the weather is nice.
