tripadvisorRob and Ansley were great bartenders! They made great drinks and were super friendly and fun :) Really nice place and great vibes!
MoreWe had attended the Colorado State football game. We were staying at the hotel so after returning from the game, we were convinced to go up here rather than walk downtown. So glad we did. We sat at the bar and enjoyed their olives and cheese board as a snack. As music played in the background, the place started to fill up with other folks who had attended the football game. We were glad we were early. A great little hidden gem.
MoreLoved staying at this hotel and Jacob at the sunset lounge just made the experience that much better. So personable and the drinks he made were amazing. also loved watching the sunset from the bar
MoreI spent a couple of pleasant hours this afternoon at the Sunset Lounge atop the Elizabeth Hotel in downtown Fort Collins for High Tea (more accurately an Afternoon Tea). To my knowledge this is the only traditional style Tea service in Fort Collins, and I would definitely recommend it.The views from the top of the hotel were excellent and there was a delightful piano player who entertained throughout the afternoon. While some of the offerings were a bit unconventional for this type of tea, everything was very good. The scone course had two types of scones, an Earl Gray scone and a cranberry scone served with lemon-thyme butter and an excellent peach-rhubarb jam made by the hotel chefs. I didn't even miss the clotted cream . The savory course was the most different. It consisted of a traditional egg salad sandwich served on a rather thick house made marble rye bread, a caprese salad with balsamic reduction bite, a zucchini round with cream cheese with herbs, and a roasted vegetable bite. While all these items could have been seasoned better, they were very good. The sweet course had a strawberry cream macaron, a yellow cupcake with chocolate frosting and a delightful panna cotta bite which was excellent and so different for an afternoon tea.The servers were friendly and efficient and kept my teacup filled throughout the afternoon.
MoreLocated in the Elizabeth Hotel, the Sunset Lounge is a treasure. There is a private elevator that takes you to the 5th floor. You are greeted by a hostess and your coats are hung-up. In the evenings there is a Jazz quartet and they are very, very good. Seating is limited and so you never feel crowded. The couches and chairs are very comfortable. Even with jazz in the background, it is not loud so you can talk with your partner. Service is excellent. Finally the quality of the drinks is outstanding. Top-shelf all the way. The wine selection is good. Appetizers can be ordered and are excellent. This is now one our favorite places for a drink when in Fort Collins.
