tripadvisorThe high point of this mall is the new Hobby lobby. This is the best craft store I have seen. They have unbelievable amount of hobby and home decorations. The people working there are very friendly and helpful. The mall has lots of parking. There is a fairly good theater and food court. There is a lot of remodeling going on. Many of the older stores are not going to last.
MoreI came here looking for a hat and i couldn't believe how empty it was, the selection of stores is mediocre at best in my opinion. If your looking for a good meal keep looking . The food court is tiny and nothing interesting. Don't reccomend.
MoreLancaster Mall used to be flooded with people all the time in its glory days, but now it's like a ghost town. Half the stores these days are closed, including one of their main stores, Macy's. Sport's Authority is also now vacant. Even the once thriving Starbucks is gone. The Sears is still standing, but whenever you go there it's always picked over. They also do have Rue 21 for clothes, which isn't bad. The Regal theater is considered a part of Lancaster Mall, but the two are not connected. Lancaster Mall is actually supposed to get a revamp soon, so we'll see. For the time being, I wouldn't recommend.
MoreI like the easy free parking. Over all this is just like every other mall in the world but it is right off 1-5 and has a theater and a food court. no reason not to stop.
MoreWe use to live in Salem and went shopping many-a-time at the Lancaster Mall. Since we were back in town for a few days we decided to stop by our old stomping ground. Located tight on Landcaster Drive (gee, ya think?) it is centrally located especially for the east-siders. If you live in West Salem (across the river) this really isn't that convenient. We visited the mall the day after Memorial Day and while I didn't expect a large crowd I was totally surprised when I walked in. It truly was like entering a ghost town. If there were more than 30 shoppers throughout the place I would be shocked. While most of the store fronts are occupied there were many empty spots, including almost all the kiosks. When talking to a store manager he said even over the Memorial Day weekend it was extremely slow. The anchors are Sears, Burlington Coat, Macy's and I probably should include Sports Authority. There is a Regal Theater attached along with a very small food court. Overall it's not a bad mall and has a number of great options, including an Apple Store. So I have no problem recommending shopping there. Since there is no crowd you can shop easily and quickly.
