tripadvisorGreat stay. Clean. Quiet. Restful.
MoreClean, nice staff. After a bad experience across town at HGI-MW, I was able to get this room affordably on the Hilton app Ten minutes before checking in. the check in staff here at Tru made sure i was happy with my room, replenished the decaf when I notified her it ran out, even getting me a cup before it was done brewing in the back room so I could get up to my room for the night. She warned me, I assure you it is decaf, but the flavor is very strong as it's Latazza and she was right, the coffee has been hot and great tasting the whole stay, they also have fruit and utensils available in the lobby and there's a free breakfast that looks awesome, but doesn't work with my allergies. There's a small fridge in the room and need to go to lobby to use microwave, but the rooms are clean and the soaps smell nice, though i usually prefer unscented products. Even though the belt line is in view, it's been really quiet in the room except when it was hailing outside. The rooms at the Tru reminds me of traveling in Europe, simple, clean, no carpet which is nice for cleanliness, but i should have brought slippers since I had the ac on and it was working well on the whole room. The lobby has a fun, dorm rec room feel with pool table, games and study nooks and plenty of tables.
MoreWe just stayed here for one night because we were in town for aUW Wisconsin event. It’s a two star hotel and the amenities lineup with that. The one thing I would say is if it says it has a pool on the website, but there is definitely no pool Hotel rooms are clean, employees were nice. There is a pool table and air hockey game. They have a nice 24/7 workout area. The price was right and we would stay here again.
MoreDo not book to stay here if you are looking for a corporate booking or needing to use a credit authorization. The hotel used my credit authorization (which has the booking confirmation on it) to pay for not only the booking I made but also for a separate booking that I did not make with a separate confirmation. No communication to me prior to the double charge and then the hotel were only willing to refund half of their double charge. Hotel is basic but fine, reservations and customer service is shockingly bad. AVOID if you are making a corporate booking or booking more than one room.
MoreThe room was cool, clean, and comfortable. Keep in mind that the master switch at the entry to the room must be switched to ON in order for the lights to work. The room had a mini-fridge. There were outlets and USB ports on the wall between the two beds. Mattress was very firm. Although there was overhead lighting with a light switch near one of the beds, there was no bedside table lamp which I found to be inconvenient. If I were to stay there for a longer period, I would move the desk lamp to the bedside table which would solve that particular issue. The bathroom had a walk-in shower with a glass door, an anti-slip floor, and a grab bar for safety. The hotel offered a complimentary breakfast and complimentary parking. I would stay there again.
