The Parish of Sts Francis and Clare with the Franciscans of Fort Lauderdale moved to a new location. The new address is 2300 NW 9th Ave, Wilton Manors, FL 33311 The new location is fresh and has very good layout. Like before the people you meet there are very nice and friendly. The service with the homilies are great inspiration. Try it you will get hooked. The motto is ALL ARE WELCOME !!

Raised Catholic, I struggle with the idea that we are called to love our neighbors as ourselves, and the way I see some clerics, and other catholics treat their neighbors. I didn't expect to find a church in Fort Lauderdale, but I think I did. I've been to Mass three times, and found the homilys to be relevant and the fellowship to be warm and inviting. You'll see this again and again, cause it's true. The Parish of Sts. Francis and Clare is a Catholic community that truely welcomes everyone. They believe that anyone who walks through the door has been invited by God, and they practice that. Haven't had First Communion? It's ok, you're here now, partake in the event. When the congregation exchanges peace people walk around and make a point to connect with each person there. Everyone seems to know everyone else. Which means Father Joe will likely notice you if you're new and come talk to you. It can be a little overwhleming at first, actually it's still a little overwhelming, but it's worth it. Mass is on Saturday at 5pm, Sundays at 10:30am. They serve coffee and cake after the sunday Mass. There is also a take-one, leave-one bookshelf in the fellowship room. The sanctuary is small and cozy. The organist and singer do a good job with the hymns. If you're looking for a church I recommend this one. Or if you just want to see what a Catholic mass is like. This is the friendliest church I've ever visited.

I'm not Catholic, but my wife is. I often accompany her when she goes to Church. The Parish of Sts. Francis and Clare is An Ecumenical Catholic Church, and they are a member of the Catholic Apostolic Church in North America. (quotes are from their bulletin). They are Franciscans. Father Joe's homilies are the best I have ever heard. They are understandable and relatable. You are always, and I mean always, welcomed here. It's a simple church, in terms of structure, but probably everything you might want from a church service.

Everybody is very welcoming. Enjoy the homilies every week at the service. After the service you can get in contact with the Franciscans of Ft Lauderdale and the parishioners

I heard the bells as I stepped out of my hotel. A Saturday night church service? I could sleep in tomorrow! This site is easy to miss as it's on a side street near the Fort Lauderdale convention center. But it's very friendly and welcoming. I was warmly greeted by all of the others at the service, including two friendly canines. The church welcomes people from all walks of life. It's not fancy, elegant, or pretentious. Part of their Mission Statement (and my personal experience) focuses on their welcome in warmth and love, especially to those who have been turned away by others.
