The Bethany Mission Gallery houses a bit atypical art collection. Most featured artists are self-taught.The exhibit space is arranged on two floors. The collection of old fancy toasters, vintage toys and antique Catalin radios draws attention. The Gallery is also used as a venue for many cultural events. We attended the Philadelphia Fringe Festival here and the Gallery created a perfect background for a performed play. The building itself has interesting history and brochures on this subject are available. The hours are presently mostly by appointment but this interesting venue is worth making arrangements for.
