We took Ken Riches 2 hour Gettysburg Historic Downtown Walking Tour 1863. He was interesting and knowledgeable and gave you insight on what was happening in Gettysburg before/during/after the war. All our questions were answered and nothing seemed too trivial to ask. We would go on some other tours with him if we're back in the area.Alan

Highest Rating Possible! This tour was the perfect complement to the bus tour of the battlefield the day before! Our family took the Gettysburg Historic Walking tour Downtown 1863 which gives you a very comprehensive understanding of the civilian experience leading up to and the aftermath of the battle. Our guide, Ken Rich, was excellent. He was extremely knowledgeable, encouraged questions and was very considerate of the hot weather and selected shade when possible. (Very kind of him!) We highly recommend this tour for an excellent, all encompassing account of the historic event. Don’t miss this!!

I did the Gettysburg: 1863 Historic Downtown Walking Tour and my guide Elaine was phenomenal. She possessed a wealth of knowledge about both city and the Civil War. I enjoyed learning about the townspeople, both their travails and accomplishments. It was my favorite part of my trip!

My husband and I took two walking tours during our stay in Gettysburg. The first was the town tour and the second was the seldom sights tour. Rosanne Zajko was our first guide. She texted the day before to confirm our booking as well as reminded us where to meet her. I really appreciated that extra effort, since I had book the tour online several weeks before. Rosanne was punctual, informative, well organized and we enjoyed the stories, as well as the history she gave us on Gettysburg. The second tour was with Terrance Hall. Terry was also punctual and full of knowledge about the town. Some of the places we stopped at overlapped with the tour with Rosanne, but Terry quickly redirected our tour and offered other information, stories and history. We highly recommend taking a walking tour with a licensed town guide while visiting Gettysburg. If Rosanne and Terry are any indication of the other guides, you will not be disappointed.

We just returned from a delightful visit to Gettysburg National Military Park. The events of the three day battle were chronologically brought to life by Bill Thomas, a Licensed Battlefield Guide. Bill's commanding knowledge, inimitable enthusiasm, and insightful anecdotes, gave us a much greater appreciation of what is considered by many, the high-water mark of the confederacy. If you have an opportunity to visit Gettysburg, we highly recommend that you try to connect with Bill Thomas. This activity was COVID -19 Safe!.
