8 friends from Bluffton (Sun City) decided to try SUP. We chose JB Boards and we are so glad we did. Sheri and Jason Bishop are incredible business owners. From talking to Jason to reserve the group, to Sheri as our guide, JB Boards is a well run operation. They offer SUP Yoga from Hilton Head Rowing & Sailing Center on Skull Creek. We took our introductory lesson from the same location. The waters were calm. Our only issue was the heat, but JB Boards can't control weather. Sheri was extremely personable. She explained on the dock exactly what to expect. She sized our paddles for us and selected the proper board for our height. They supplied everything we needed. The boards we used are JB Boards. So if you are in the market for a new SUP, you should consider JB Boards. The reason I mention the board is that EVERY person in our group not only stood up, but stayed up. Not a single person fell in. I'd like to say it was all us, but I believe the quality of the board was the contributing factor to our success. On the water, Sheri kept on eye on everyone. She gave feedback if she noticed any issues such as getting too close to oyster beds or if we needed to change feet position for better balance. She took extreme care to ensure everyone had a great experience. She took photo's of our group so we'd have a memory of the day. Which we really appreciated. As soon as the weather cools off, we plan to do this again. It was an incredible experience with a fabulous group of gals. You will not be disappointed. As a side note, HH Rowing Center is very clean and easy to get too.
