Karate-do means empty hand way of self-defense. The word "way"can be interpreted in many ways, but usually indicates striving for attainment of understanding about oneself, about others, about martial skills, and about living in harmony with others. Okinawa Goju Ryu Karate Do is an organization which provides traditional training in the ancient ways of Okinawan Goju Ryu Karate-do (Okinawan "hard and gentle style of karate"). The style was developed in Okinawa and China. The physical training of Goju-Ryu is hard and rigorous, with an emphasis on strength, endurance, flexibility, speed, and breath control. To properly prepare for the rigorous training, there are exercises for warming-up, stretching, conditioning, strengthening, endurance, toughening, breathing, and meditation. Our class Schedule range from ages 5 to 11 Tuesday and Thursday 6:00 pm- 6:45 pm Youth and Adult Class Tuesday & Thursday 7:00 pm- 8:00 pm Saturday 11:00 am - 12:00 pm.
