tripadvisorThis place is amazing. It's-It is one of the tastiest ice cream treats around, and this is a real deal outlet shop. I stopped when I saw a huge sign off the interstate, and I have zero regrets. For those who've never had It's-It, the frozen treats are like elevated ice cream sandwiches, a sophisticated spin of sorts. Picture a large scoops of flavored ice cream stuffed between two crunchy oatmeal cookies, then dipped in a chocolate coating. Yes, please!Take note that it's window service only, so you can't actually enter the shop. You talk to an employee on the other side of a window. No biggie, but you aren't able to just waltz in and browse. The jovial, pleasant woman working the day I visited couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. The store sells several flavors of the famous It's-It ice cream sandwiches, including the hard-to-find pumpkin and cappuccino flavors. (Heck, I can't even find the original ice cream flavors here in Southern Nevada). They also have the Chips-It (vanilla ice cream and chocolate chip cookie sandwich) as well as cookie dough and even freshly baked cookies.Bargain hunter alert: THE OUTLET SELLS THEIR ICE CREAM SANDWICHES FOR JUST $1.50 EACH. I REPEAT: A BUCK FIFTY PER TREAT!We bought a mint It's-It and a classic Chips-It to enjoy while driving down the road. The ice cream was served super frozen, which was cool (literally). I put the treats on the dashboard for 10 minutes to warm them a bit. This softened them up and made them easier and tastier to eat.Stop here. You won't regret it.
MoreI grew up in San Francisco and ate It’s It ice cream sandwiches whenever I could. Finally getting to the factory was a dream. We only had vanilla or mint chip and now you can get chocolate, strawberry, and cappuccino flavors. You can buy a case of 24 and they will package them for 24 hours in a cooler dry ice for a nominal fee so you can take them home. The factory store is near SFO Airport so it’s a nice stop on your way for a unique treat. Take the time for a classic San Francisco dessert, you will not be disappointed.
MoreWe’d heard of It’s It long history and loyal fan base, so when we realized the factory was walking distance from our hotel, we had to visit. Ok, the ice cream sandwiches are decent, and worth a try, but Ben ‘n Jerry’s this isn’t. Also, no tour was offered on our visit, so just try It’s It sandwiches from a local grocer.
MoreEnjoyed our quick visit while killing time on way to airport. End of an industrial street near airport. Small shop with lovely, helpful British hostess behind counter. First time having an It's It, heard about it from Atlas Obscura/Gastro Obscura. Nice simple ice-cream sandwiches in various flavors. I had a cappuccino one. Factory on one side of street and corporate headquarters on other side.
MoreIf you haven’t tried an It’s It, you don’t know what you are missing. It’s an oatmeal cookie sandwich with various ice cream flavors, dipped in chocolate. I’ve had this ice cream from the grocery stores in LA but they only have vanilla and mint but this factory store has other options not available in LA. This is the factory retail store which unfortunately is only open Monday through Friday and doesn’t have actual factory tours. Nonetheless don’t miss out on tasting other flavors such as chocolate, strawberry, cappuccino, green tea or pumpkin. You can purchase one, two or twenty-four! They also can pack your order in a dry ice container so you can make it back to Southern California if you want to bring some home. They even sell It’s It shirts and other novelty items. They have limited hours Monday to Friday so you can plan a quick visit.
