Ascent Wellness is Ventura's only Graston Technique and Fascial Stretch Therapy studio. Owned by physical therapist Dr. Leigh Scarber, DPT, GTS, CFSS-3 and Dr. Mike Scarber, DPT, GTC, CFST2, TRS-S. Leigh and Mike customize each treatment for their clients and puts their whole heart into each session. Graston Technique is the most well researched and well known form of instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization and can effect a change in the body sooner than other modalities in order to return to sport or life responsibilities. Graston has been proven effective in several common injuries such as plantar fasciitis, rotator cuff syndromes, neck pain, back pain, IT band syndrome, Achilles tendinopathies and many more. Fascial Stretch Therapy is a pain free, research based form of neuromyofascial stretching that is relaxing, stress reducing and restores function in very few treatments. Benefits include improved mobility, strength, balance, recovery, sleep, sex, and decreased pain and stress.
