Reviews
tripadvisorThe pictures and descriptions on this hotels website are not accurate and do not show the real situation of the rooms. I was in two different rooms and they were both in poor condition. The rooms had filth under the beds and the bathtub/showers were disgusting. Someone has slopped paint over everything trying to cover it up. They even painted the bathtubs in a very poor fashion. Parking will cost you extra per night which isn't clear when booking. The parking you pay for is just open and not secure.
MoreStay away, this place is the absolute bottom of the barrel. Entire hotel stinks of sewer, rooms are incredibly run down, poorly cleaned, threadbare towels. The carpet in the room is disgusting. Just awful, unable to comment on the breakfast because I can't stomach eating here.
MoreTitle: Bug bites, broken toilet, and no one willing to helpI really wanted to like this place, but my stay at Domine was honestly one of the worst hotel experiences I've had. When I checked in, the toilet in my room wasn't working. I reported it to the front desk, but nothing was really done about it. That night I woke up with itchy rashes all over, and it was pretty clear they were bug bites from the bed. I've attached a photo so people can see for themselves. When I went to the front desk, there was no manager available, and they didn't offer me another room at first. What made it worse was trying to get it sorted out afterward. I've sent multiple emails and haven't gotten a single reply. When I call, I either get no answer, or I'm put on hold for a long time and then the call disconnects. This has happened several times now. It feels like they're just hoping I'll give up.I'm not writing this to vent. I just think other travelers should know what they might be walking into. A hotel can have a bad day, but ignoring a guest who got bitten by bugs in your bed is a different thing.I wouldn't recommend staying here until management takes cleanliness and guest complaints seriously. Please check your bed carefully if you do book.
MoreHonestly the hotel was pleasant. Reception was kind. They went out of their way to save ice cream in their freezer on one of the days, taping a label with our name and room number. No one touched it. Our room and bathroom were clean and large. Not brand new furniture in great condition but bright and modern. Breakfast was proper 3 star, not one star to-go cheap packaged items. Probably was packaged during covid and fortunately they brought buffet breakfast back. The breakfast room staff were kind and patient. Over several days they never stopped anyone from eating or taking food at 9 pm sharp. Even at 9:30-9:45 we noticed they were patient. Employee culture trickles from the top so I think that shows that management and owners prioritize customer experience first.Convenient to Apple and Google campuses. The Indian and Nepali communities must be big in Sunnyvale so most stores and restaurants reflect that.
MorePros- Large rooms when you pay extra, compared to what you get in Downtown Sunnyvale.- Decent 20mbit wifi with good reception.Cons:- Housekeeping : When I pay the same price for every day, expecting the same room service every day is not a luxury, it is just what I paid for.- They bargained with us from the checkin day, trying to have us accept housekeeping less often,- After they “scheduled” housekeeping every day, the room was never serviced two days in a row, during our stay over a week. Even after our repeated requests…- Tried the breakfast twice, got diarrhea twice. - There is a strip club on the same block, if that gives you an idea about the neighborhood.
