Came for Blue Man Group. The venue is sweet, and has good acuistics, such an amazingly intimate setting. The show was also great. The staff can get over themselves, took away from the experience. Must be an easy coast/masshole/holier than thou thing - dont miss living here for the douchiness.

Husband and I just went to Charles Playhouse for the first time to see Blue Man Group. We weren’t sure what to expect. It wasn’t what we got! Didn’t even expect the lounge. We both got drinks. The bartender was wonderful. The drink was wonderful. All of the staff created a positive and exciting atmosphere. There’s a gift shop in the lounge as well and an interactive wall kids would enjoy.

We enjoyed a cocktail prior to a performance of The Blue Man Group. There was adequate seating, and the noise level was not excessive. They also had a small gift shop here.

Charles Playhouse was much smaller than it looks in photos. We were on ground level with an obstructed view. We had to lean forward to see the stage area if the band wasn't in the front middle. Really not too bad, though. Would go again.
