The course is very nice to play, the workers are very nice as well, but the management does not give a crap about the players. They will try to hold you responsible if your ball and hits the homes surrounding the property. Yes it happens but mistake happen. So it you slice the ball this might not be a place to play at.

Course in good shape. Played day after rain so fairways soft. Beautiful layout. Pin location a little crazy but we were warned before. Absolutely enjoyable. 4 out 5 because as weather corrects itself the course will get better

This is the second time I have been to this establishment, and it will be the last. We went there for Thanksgiving and while we reserved a seat in the dining room, they put us in the bar even though there were many empty seats in the DR the whole time we were there. Our waiter took our drink order and the next time we saw him was when we flagged him down for our checks. He had a surly attitude, and I thought it might be because he did not want to work on a holiday, but someone who has been there before told me he is always like that! The food was mediocre at best and by the time we walked the length of the building to get to our seats the food was barely luke warm. When I came back from the buffet with my salad course, my used plate was still there, the waiter was nowhere in sight, and I had to put my used plate on the bar. When the bill arrived, I paid cash for my daughter and myself. Two buffet meals with one glass of wine, and a gratuity of 17% was included. I left $140 and the waiter actually came back and asked me for $2 more! This place was beautifully decorated, but the attitude and class of the staff and management was far below McDonalds. There are many nice restaurants in Ormond Beach, Palm Coast, and Flagler Beach. I will never go to Halifax Plantation Golf Club again!

Have played at this golf course off and on for the last several years. The golf course is the best we've ever seen it. From the tee boxes, fairways and greens it has really come along way. Actually met the head grounds keeper on the 17th who was busy grooming the edges of the greens which were perfect. Also enjoyed a fantastic lunch in the pub. We tried the Mahi sandwich, shrimps tacos, burger and chicken wrap which were all excellent. Price points for golf and lunch spot on for the quality.

This review concerns the Tavern restaurant and pub (clubhouse); Tripadvisor has no separate listing for them.We have been here several times; I am the only vegetarian in my family. Food is good, and the carnivores have been happy with their meals. If you are vegetarian, there aren't any options except for one vegetarian salad (or have the meat removed from a salad). If you are vegan, forget it. In the past at different times they have offered flat breads and pizza, but not now. Stick with lunch; the dinner menu really doesn't offer any options for vegetarians.Definitely check the website and/or call before going; the dining room and dinner menus are not available on Mondays and Sundays. Reservations are sometimes necessary. Service has been mixed the last few years—often very slow and sometimes understaffed. One thing that has been good in the past is that it has been a fairly quiet place to eat. No flat screens, no radio. Hard to find a quiet place these days where you can talk (not shout) over dinner. The Tavern has a nice setting, pretty surroundings. Could do with some updated décor but generally a nice atmosphere without being pretentious.
