Eastern Bakery Bakery ·$

We make moon cakes all year long, since we are the only bakery that makes even their moon cake filling in San Francisco, CA. Other Chinese bakeries import their moon cake/bean cake fillings from China. (You don't know what is in there.) This means that there are no preservatives in our pastries! We cook our bun filling ourselves with no frighteningly-red food coloring in our pork buns. Everything is made in the US! We can ship moon cakes, Smackles, bean cakes, and other goodies to all your friends and family nationwide. Our specialty goods are the Moon cakes, Coffee Crunch Cakes, Cocktail Buns (coconut filled cream bun), and Smackles.

Eastern Bakery is a Chinatown classic, but honestly, I have one reason for stopping here: the coffee crunch cake. It's my all-time favorite cake. The cake is light and fluffy, the frosting is...

Such nice service and really great things on the menu. All I had to order was some egg tarts and the huge sesame balls and let me tell you the sesame balls were amazing. I'm still thinking about...

Glad we passed by for their anniversary. They had several treats, but my go to is the egg custard. It's definitely fresh and the texture and flavor was on point. I was too full to eat anything...
