A San Francisco institution for hot slices and delivery in the Haight! We opened the original Escape From New York Pizza on Haight Street in 1986. Back then, the music venue Full Moon Saloon was next door and had a window into Escape so patrons could order pizza without leaving the bar. When the Full Moon became the Red Vic Movie Theater they covered up the window, so movie patrons had to sneak their hot slices into the theatre. Always a big supporter of live music, our Haight St location is known for its collection of original posters from the Fillmore, and Rock and Roll autographs. Other notable art includes a Matt Groening "Pizza is Hell" custom illustration. Come get some of the best pizza in San Francisco. Or order pizza delivery.
