Take your time and plan to spend a day or two if you want to see the entire park. We visited the Plant Conservatory, the Botanical Gardens, and Japanese Tea Gardens. Buy one ticket to see all three.

We went to the Scott Museum and Japanese Tea Garden. They advertise having a Van Gogh and Maynard Dixon painting and neither were on display. The Japanese Tea Garden takes about 15 minutes to walk through and is way overpriced for the experience.

The Golden Gate Park is a wide area covered with greenery, water bodies and various art installations. It is a perfect place for an idyllic mind to spend a couple of hours

The scenery of park is amazing but most of the public restrooms are filthy, also not enough benches to rest on while hiking all of the park

This enormous city park was designed by Olmstead. It has a lot of glorious features including museums, music venues, a botanical garden a tea garden, sports fields, and lots of hiking and biking. Great for families and nature lovers. The weather can be cold as the park borders on the Ocean, which is the source of regular fog.
