A cozy neighborhood bookstore whose carefully chosen titles focus on thoughtful literature and challenging non-fiction. You will find more Barbara Pym than Danielle Steele here. There is a good selection of books on religion and philosophy, and the children's section is a winner. Seating at tables and in armchairs encourages shoppers to peruse the stock before buying. The knowledgeable staff can order an item not in stock, or help you discover a new author. There is a great selection of discounted hardbacks, too.

tripadvisorA really nice independent bookshop with an interesting range of adult and kids books. Nice browsing ambiance. The right size too - sometimes bookshops are too big and a bit overwhelming.
MoreGreat little bookstore with lots crammed on the shelves. It may be a librarian's nightmare but it's a book lover's dream. Sure, they don't have everything but they are very helpful and will try and find it for you. No place to sit and hang out though.
MoreReading books is, for me, the ultimate pleasure. A good book provides hours of entertainment, provokes thoughtful discourse and opens up new realms of possibilities in fiction, nonfiction and poetry. Independent bookstores like this one are a dream come true. Well curated genres, a knowledgeable staff and a first rate selection of choice reads. Do your patriotic duty and become a more literate citizen, support small business and buy some books from this excellent emporium.
MoreThis is the type of book store that makes you WANT to buy books. Not only because they have an incredible selection that's well displayed, but also because you really want to support their efforts! Nice, helpful staff, including an adorable gentleman who offers cooking demonstrations on Sundays with recipes from cookbooks that are available there. In the past I had a bad habit of browsing in book stores, finding titles that look good, then ordering them from Amazon. I now see the error of my ways, as many of the independent book stores have gone under. The sliver of savings isn't worth it (and also isn't fair, given the fact that local book stores like Browser Books are paying rent and stimulating our local economy). I'll try to make up for my past by buying more books and gifts in the future. Hope they're here for me to patronize for a long time!
MoreWith all the big bookstores closing, I was delighted to find the little neighborhood bookstore called Browser Books still standing strong. The nooks and crannies are wall to wall words a plenty. The bookstore has the feel of a humble used bookstore, but it sells the latest printed works. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly and the bookstore lives up to its name. I highly recommend a visit to this little shop to browse and enjoy the wall of words.
