I really wanted to love this place because they are only ones I know of with organic polish but the pedicures are just bad. I have been here 3 times. The first one ok. 2nd was so bad I had to say something (1st time I’ve ever complained anywhere about pedicure), my 3rd and last left with wet pants because she squirted water on me. Has this ever happened to you? I can’t recall in 28 years that ever happening. The polish was uneven and spotty. The foot scrubs here are always as light as a feather. So much so I would not call them scrubs. Massage etc…all meh! This review is in part to let whoever owns this place training is essential to a successful business. I feel like these people just hit the floor not knowing how or what to do beyond getting their license training. Regardless if you are a tourist I would like you to know so many places in St Pete give great pedicures and this has no reflection on our city. If you can’t give good pedicures in Florida sadly you just don’t care.

I’ve come here twice and both times weren’t very good but my second time I experienced racism from the female owner. I’ve observed that the clientele are predominantly white (most likely because of the location and selling of “organic services) but after this experience, I can report that ***BIPOC are not safe here.*** I got the deluxe pedicure which is a step above the regular ($45) plus gave a 20% tip. I always get white on my toes and this trip was no exception. I came in with my nails pretty long (and still white from my last service) because I hadn’t gotten a pedi in a while and she asked if I wanted them short and I said I’d like them shorter because they’re too long, but not too short. I also asked for square, which I always get and my longer nails were able to accommodate that. My nails came out shorter than I wanted which wouldn’t be such an issue if she didn’t file them round and uneven (one was completely slanted). I had an appointment in Tampa to get to so I couldn’t have her fix it immediately, but I called immediately from the car to let the owner know I was unhappy with how my nails came out. She said I could come back and they’d fix them. The next day I came back because they would be closed by the time I would make it back in town. I came in and explained what happened and that since my nails were so short and would have to become shorter to fix them, I wanted to change the color to a nude color (instead of a bright white) to allow for them to grow back without being too noticeable. The owner then accused me of not liking the color because I asked for a nude instead and that wasn’t the case—the shape and length of my nails were messed up so I wanted to mask it with a nude color until they grew out again. She then told me I would have to pay if I wanted a different color and part of my issue was that they weren’t originally painted well to begin with so I wanted it repainted entirely. The owner then accused me of my nails being too short when I then looked at the tech and said “ma’am, you know my nails were very long when I came in yesterday.” The owner continued to gaslight me and then, after she told me she would change the color for me for free, she (owner) said to me, “if you just tell us the truth, we can help you.” I told the truth from the very moment I called the day before to the moment I walked through the door. I was gaslighted and insulted by the owner and it’s no surprise that I’m a woman of color and came in with my hair wrapped up. The owner is racist and that was completely uncalled for. I guess I just came into the salon the wrong color. I’ll never be coming back and ***I highly suggest BIPOC do not do business here. We are not welcome. *** The nail tech did graciously do what she could to fix it and understood where I was coming from. She even had to deal with the owner stand over her while she fixed it and reprimand her in front of everyone which was completely wrong and unprofessional. I thanked the nail tech for helping me and said it was okay, it happens. This just shouldn’t be.

I am from out of town and was thrilled to find Nail-tastic. From the moment my stepmother and I walked in, we were warmly greeted and then pampered . The salon is inviting and relaxing. Both Lily and Sandy did a wonderful job. The salon is extremely clean using liners and sterilized packets. They use organic products and introduced us to BeBio organic nail polishes. Sandy provided us with numerous recommendations for our visit to the area. Sandy did a tremendous job on my pedicure. I will come back when we visit.

My step daughter and I went to Nail-Tastic today and enjoyed a great experience with our pedicure. The salon is fairly new and is decorated beautifully. It is very clean, neat and they use liners and instruments are sterilized individually wrapped. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They have a fabulous variety of organic polish’s. I think my foot massage was the best I have ever had. I am visiting from Arizona but if I’m ever in the area again, I’ll definitely go for another pedicure at Nail-Tastic Organic Spa.
