If you like the concept of the show Cheers, where everyone knows your name, you will love The Local! It's small, quaint, and comfortable. Great for viewing sports on the big screen, having great craft or tap beer with friends, or even unwinding after a long day at the office. It's right off the 101 freeway, last exit (Exit 50) before you head up to Thousand Oaks. They have 16 rotating taps of beer, fermented drinks, and very soon full licensed cocktails. While they don't serve food, you can order in from about 50 feet away. They also do events with food trucks that come to the pub. What I love most is that it's a true pub. The owners are Irish pubkeepers, and know what it takes to make a fun and friendly watering hole. My most stop there was after an early morning to early afternoon photoshoot nearby. We stopped in for a cold one, and stayed a couple hours. Watched a little baseball, a little soccer (and I don't really like soccer, but with a perfectly poured Guinness I'm down with it!), and shared some laughs with locals. I am only glad it's not close to my home...my wife would be yelling at me for spending too much time round the pub!
