tripadvisorI had a great stay here at this hotel. The rooms are lovely, clean, spacious, and modern. I had dinner every night at bar. Jordan was amazing and very accommodating. He is very skillful and gave great recommendations.
MoreI recently moved and needed to spend 1 night in a hotel (as my mattress wasn't being delivered until the next day). I chose this hotel because it was ~1000 feet from my new address and seemed like a good option when I did a bit of research prior to booking.First of all, check in was unnecessarily time-consuming. I appreciate that it's important for desk staff to be personable and engaging, but when you're alone on the desk and someone is waiting (me)? You don't spend 10 minutes having random, unrelated conversation when checking someone in.Secondly, I was placed in an accessible room when I didn't book one. I didn't realize this until I took a shower and it wasn't a pleasant surprise. That and the dirty shower floor, obviously water damaged surrounds and ceiling, and the open hole from which the shower head dropped from the ceiling. This from a 4 star hotel? Had I not been utterly wiped out from having spent the day cleaning my new place, I would have returned to check in to demand the room I paid for. As it was, I had already unpacked the bit I brought and just wanted to shower, eat some food, and sleep. So I did just that.Unlike my usual self, I chose not to complain the next day because I had so much on my mind and plate in relation to my recent move. So, I checked out without fanfare and walked back to my new apartment.First surprise, I was never sent a bill post-checkout (even though I was asked if I'd like it email to me, which I said yes to). Second surprise, my bill was higher than it should have been. Third surprise, I had to reiterate ALL of my information from name, address, credit card, email address, etc just to get them to send my bill as they recently changed systems. Somehow that happened within the few days since I stayed there. Fourth surprise, the higher bill was due to my being charged for parking when I explicitly stated I didn't need it (because I walked from essentially next door). So, I reached out to the hotel, was bounced around to a couple of voicemails since the desk couldn't help me because we changed systems. I ended up with Jaheem Jones who offered zero niceties--just a refund form that was a charge authorization form. I filled it because the email identified it as a refund (maybe their paperwork is a new system as well or Jaheem is just slow on the uptake?). Well, lo and behold I was charged again and I reached back out multiple times to no response. All in all an utterly inept and incompetent display from room assignment until today. Also a very underwhelming and frustrating experience from start to finish. Long story capped: I've been forced to dispute the charges on my card and will avoid Marriot moving forward. I'd advise you to do the same if my experience is any indication of the level of service this hotel provides.
MoreWe had a great stay. The staff was lovely and accommodating. The hotel had fragrance free rooms which was very helpful for those of us with fragrance allergies and thankfully the lobby did not have any strong fragrances. Jordan at the bar was wonderful and made the absolute best drinks we had of anywhere! Even the mocktails were spectacular, especially the blueberry one. In the lobby, they offered us citrus infused water and lavender saches at night — a sweet extra touch. The only reason it wasn’t five stars was that the room could have used a little extra cleaning, mainly in the shower. The caulking and cleaning in the shower could have been better and there were some sheets piled up under the pull out bed that were covered in dust.
MoreThe hotel was great! The bartender, Jordan was even greater.
MoreOn behalf of a Marriott Bonvoy member and new credit card owner….I am now too embarrassed and ashamed to be a part of this so called “exclusive benefits club.” I stayed at this hotel as my first purchase and boy was that the worst decision I ever made. Female in her 40s with brown long hair clerk initials JLB? Working on 2/21 between 2-8 pm with her matching brown jacket was super distasteful and unfriendly. As soon as I checked in and went up to the hotel - I was shocked that as I was undressing a housekeeper walked in on me in my own hotel room not knowing that the room had already been occupied….BTW I checked in at 2 pm and only until 630 pm I was only literally in the hotel for a total of 1 hour. I then began receiving multiple calls both on my personal cell phone and the hotel room. Yes I was harassed by front staff with made up lies about my service animal being loud and the nature sounds coming from the hotel television at volume level 7 being called a “disruption” as the front staff lady yelled at me on the other line responding to me saying “yea it’s the nature sounds that’s causing disturbance and if you don’t shut it off we will ask you to leave by 9pm!” She also “ stated “ that they received multiple complaints from other guest- of course all lies. but let’s be honest she was just racist, unprofessional, inappropriate and unhappy. Yes I took it personal. Know the people you come after because you will be sorry. She ruins it for every other Marriott hotel and staff member. I regret getting the credit card and now I won’t even get the time share. I guess we all win right? You get what you pay for. I felt unsafe and uncomfortable. I grabbed my things and left before 8 pm. Never again. Now we know why it’s a 3 star hotel. Unfortunately can’t put lipstick on a pig.- NOT PET FRIENDLY- NOT TV FRIENDLY- if you can’t have the television on then remove it from the room.- EVIDENCE of “Othering”- $13 parking- not downtown area, should be included in the hotel.- if you’re a Marriott Bonvoy member and have a complaint - don’t bother they will side with the property and their staff. Conclusion: Complaints at this severity should be taken extremely serious
