tripadvisorThe interior is small and very dark, but the brews are very good and the service is friendly and enthusiastic. With ample outdoor seating, the limitations of the interior become irrelevant. The on site food truck cranks out great burgers, so with the beer, this is a great combo..... except....So much of the clientele seem to smoke. Okay, so it is a bar, and we were outdoors, so I suppose we'll tolerate it. ...until....the adjacent table went from cigarette to some really rank weed. One woman lit a fatty that would choke Bob Marley and unleashed plumes that would scare Creech & Chong. In addition to being incredibly rude, doing this in a public place is also illegal. Shame on this establishment for allowing this. Despite all the positives, we won't be back.
MoreThis place was recommended to me by Leo at the Front Desk of the Hampton Inn- Santa Fe South. The ambiance and the beers were amazing and the service was outstanding! I highly recommend this place!
MoreGreat variety of beers and other drinks. Nice to have gf options so I had cherry cider while friends enjoyed beer. Nice to have food truck
MoreI've been intending to write a review for The Breakroom for a while now. For the most part, I love this place. It has a great atmosphere and a lot of outside seating. That said, tonight's experience was less than perfect (Tuesday, Aug 8th) . To sum it up, there is a great deal of truth to the statement that the staff can make or break a business. Given the fact that it's still early August, it was a cool and rainy night for Santa Fe. There were only four customers outside and around ten in the bar area (yes, I counted). However, the atmosphere was upbeat and the customers were drinking and having a good time.I approached the girl working the bar at 9.27PM to purchase a glass of wine for myself and a beer for my friend. It was going to be our last for the evening. Rather than serving us, she informed me that she had called for last orders—which in reality she had not openly announced. In response, I asked, ”What time do you close? She told me 10PM, but she had decided to stop serving early, since it was not very busy. She said this as I was standing there looking at a bar full of people! To sum it up, not only was the girl not very personable or friendly—or even smiled on the occasions she served me, I would (as a business owner who has staff of my own), not tolerate an employee who was incapable of honoring my posted business hours. Given her attitude and questionable work ethic, it was obvious that she had little interest in working and simply wanted to go home. The fact is, staff like this are not good for one’s business!
MoreThe beer and the front patio were amazing. However, on a Saturday night during the high season there was one bartender in the pace (I asked to confirm). His service was adequate but there was a shared annoyance of waiting for one person to serve the packed house. It would have been perfect if there wasn't such a wait and general flippant attitude toward those waiting.
