Club Passim has been on the cultural scene of Boston for a long time. It is frequented by the Harvard intellectuals for evening get togethers. Club Passim works to promote local and folk music. No alcohol is served here, you can order vegetarian pizzas from the in-house pizzeria, libations from the juice or just a cuppa. Boston is known for its cultural and arts scene and this is a definitely a good place to soak up the arts.

tripadvisorWe had a wonderful time here, listening to music and having a delicous, well priced meal here. We enjoyed many hours of original music at their annual Campfire Festival, which is held over four days. Service was friendly, and you get a fine view of the performers on stage from any seat. Easy to find, close to the T stop in Harvard Square. Will return when visiting the area.
MoreHistoric venue with great music. It’s been around for a few decades and is a non-profit supporting local artists. The food is good and has local beer options. Service is terrible (expect to wave frantically at servers as they ignore you and pass you by).
MoreClub Passim is the latest (now non-profit) iteration of famed local music venue - formerly Club 47, Passim. Present location is in a small basement room. Not a bad seat in the house for seeing & hearing the musicians (though they are not that comfortable. These COVID days, people are not as packed in as earlier. Vaccination verified at door. Audience mask requirement better followed some nights than others. They get really fine artists here!
MoreI went to college in Boston, moved away for a couple of years and came back 20+ years ago. Can you believe in all that time I had NEVER been to Passim?? Cut to a few weeks ago...I went to my first show there and I fell in love with the place. It's so cozy, warm and friendly. The live music is off the chain...such amazing artists are coming through there all the time. The food/drinks are fantastic too. I went back on Halloween night for Peter Mulvey's Lamplighter series featuring Ali McGuirk, Tim Gearan and Thank God For Science. I had a blast. It was the best Halloween I've had in awhile. This is probably my favorite live music venue now. It only took me 20+ years to finally come and experience it.
MoreCame to see the amazing Mindy Smith. One thing worth noting when you're coming to see an act. The venue is in a basement - there a few pillars on each side of the venue (probably about 15 feet from the stage) that slightly obstruct your view (if you're in the back). I only bring that up because if you're thinking about going to a show, book tickets early and pick seats up front - if you can't, don't sweat it, you'll still have a great time. We parked at the parking garage that the club lists on their website - it was a short walk away. Well worth the walk for very reasonable parking ($8). We had the Mummus platter and the Cauliflower Bites - both were very tasty...as was the Porter Beer that I ordered...and of course Mindy Smith was amazing
